Ship Description[]
A small schooner, designed for quick and short runs, low profile with folded sails and good tackling, especially in adverse winds. With displacement of about 90 tonnes it can achieve good sailing speed in quite a blink time. Often such vessels used by low-profile pirates, hunting for small merchants and yachts. For protecting its crew from enemy cannonfire, Smuggler Schooners of Caribbean often have a lot of bales and bulwarks installed, which lead to around 30% less crew casualties. Such schooners are also commonly used by smugglers in Caribbean, that's why they got the actual name.
